The Parlour size incarnation of the third model in Garrison's Canadian designed, AG series of affordable acoustic guitars, the AG 400. NB the picture is of the standard sized model; the Parlour is significantly smaller. A Parlour guitar will appeal to players who tend to feel conscious of the size of a Dreadnaught, and can feel much more comfortable to play for some. Another favourite, also well catered by Garrison, is the Grand Concert bodystyle, which is similar in size to a Dreadnaught, but with a shallower body and a tightly sculpted waist. The solid sedar top fitted to this model, together with the Grifiths Active Bracing (GAB) system, effectively counters any limitations of the smaller body with regard to sound projection. If anything, as rewarding to play as it's larger siblings, but with a mature delicacy about it, as one musician discribed it. As with any solid top, there is the prospect that the sound will actually improve with age as the wood matures.
